Steinar Juvet founded Geilo Turbusser in 1996 with a single bus. Today the company has around 28 buses, 3 minibuses and about 60 employees. Besides its head office in Geilo, it has branches in Oslo, Voss, Moss and Tønsberg.
The company is Norway's largest health bus operator. Its customers include Buskerud Hospital, Østfold Hospital and Helgeland Hospital. Geilo Turbusser has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the Vy Group since 2021 but still operates under its own name, with the aim of keeping the identity it built as a family business.
