Maps and tracking

See the whole fleet. Live.

Real-time positions for vehicles and drivers on the dispatch map, zones you draw yourself, temperature monitoring - and tracking your customers can follow without ringing you.

See how

"Where is my vehicle?" should never be a phone question

The position already exists - in the telematics and the driver app. FleetX puts it to work for the dispatcher and the customer at the same time.

For the dispatcher

Live map with every vehicle and driver, optimised routes drawn with numbered stops and zone overlays.

For the customer

Tracking link, status per address and automatic alerts by email and SMS - collected, delivered, exception.

For the goods

Temperature monitoring for chilled and frozen loads with sensors per compartment, documented on the order.

Live map

The fleet on one map

Positions in real time - with the routes drawn on.

Vehicles and drivers show live with animated movement and clustering as you zoom out. Optimised routes are drawn with their own colour per route and numbered stops, and you can zoom to a single route or see them all at once.

  • Real-time positions for vehicles and drivers
  • Routes drawn with numbered stops
  • Show/hide per route, zoom to route

Zones

Your areas. Your rules.

Draw zones - or build them from postcodes.

Zones are drawn straight on the map or generated from postcode lists, organised into zone groups and used for both zone-to-zone pricing and zone-limited route optimisation. Addresses are matched to the zones automatically.

  • Draw zones on the map or import from CSV
  • Zones built from postcode lists
  • Zone-to-zone price matrix
  • Zone-limited routes in the optimiser
Customer tracking

The customer follows the shipment

Status per address - and alerts when something happens.

Public tracking API with a tracking number, status updates per address with a timestamp, and automatic customer alerts by email and SMS on collection, delivery and exceptions. Map and status in the customer portal too.

  • Tracking link with no login
  • Alerts by email and SMS per event
  • Status and map in the customer portal
  • ETA shown against the promised delivery time

Temperature

The cold chain documented

Sensors per compartment - straight from telematics.

Temperature monitoring for chilled and frozen loads pulls sensor data from the telematics per compartment and probe, links it to the order and gives you documentation when the customer - or a food safety inspector - asks.

  • Temperature per compartment and probe
  • Linked to orders and reports
  • Data from Mapon/Tracksys telematics
  • History for documentation

Frequently asked questions

Answers to what transport companies most often ask about maps and tracking in FleetX.

Where do the positions on the map come from?

From the telematics in the vehicles (Mapon/Tracksys) and from the driver app. Positions stream in real time to the dispatch map with animated movement.

Can customers track shipments without logging in?

Yes. Every shipment can be tracked from a link with a tracking number, and customers see the status per address. A full overview with a map is also available in the customer portal.

Does FleetX send automatic status alerts?

Yes. Customers can be alerted automatically by email and SMS on collection, delivery and exceptions - configured per customer and per event.

What are zones used for?

Zones are drawn on the map or built from postcode lists, and they drive zone-to-zone pricing, zone-limited route optimisation and address lookups.

Can FleetX monitor temperature in chilled and frozen loads?

Yes. The temperature module pulls sensor data per compartment from the telematics, links it to the order and gives you a documented cold chain.

Which map providers does FleetX use?

Maps and geocoding come from established providers such as HERE and Mapbox, with route calculation and optimisation built into the platform.

Can I create orders straight from the map?

Yes, with the map booking module you create an order straight from a point on the map - useful for ad hoc jobs.
